Pathaan Movie

Pathaan is a 2023 Indian action thriller film in the Hindi language that was written and directed by Siddharth Anand from a narrative by Anand. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Muhammad Hassaan, and Ashutosh Rana appear in the fourth entry in the YRF Spy Universe. In the movie, Pathaan (Khan), an exiled RAW agent, teams up with Rubina Mohsin (Padukone), an ISI agent, to stop Jim (Abraham), a former RAW agent who is attempting to infect India with a lethal lab-created virus.

Principal photography for the movie, which is being produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films, started in Mumbai in November 2020. The movie was filmed in a number of locales throughout India, Afghanistan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, Italy, and France. The Vishal-Shekhar pair wrote two songs, and Sanchit and Ankit Balhara composed the music. The movie had a production budget of around 225 crore rupees ($28 million), plus an additional 15 crore rupees ($1.9 million) for print and advertising.[4] Contrary to custom, there were few press appearances and no public events throughout the pre-release period.

On January 25, 2023, the weekend of Republic Day, Pathaan was theatrically released in India. It earned generally favourable reviews from critics who commended its action sequences, music, and cast performances. The movie's opening day, single-day, opening weekend, and opening week totals in India were all-time highs. It eventually broke records in every significant foreign market, including the US, Canada, UAE, GCC, United Kingdom, and Australia, and became the biggest grossing Hindi language movie ever in India. The movie has earned 1,050.3 crore (US$130 million) globally, making it the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2023, the second-highest Hindi movie ever, the fifth-highest Indian movie ever, and breaking numerous other box office records in India and for other countries.
